This week in music class we have been having lots of fun working on our musical skills with some fun Valentine's themed songs. One of our favorites is in minor tonality (which many students thought was an unusual tonality for Valentine's Day!) We identified the minor tonic pattern that is in the song (Mi-Do-La) and counted how many times we heard it (5 times!) We then talked about how the song has 2 different parts (AB Form) and we discussed the differences between the A and B section. Lastly, we took out our stretchy band and played our own musical version of Duck Duck Goose :) Here is a short video of one of our classes having fun with this game. Enjoy!
